What is Pure Tone


Pure tone is an additive which will transform the 010Plus colour to a demi or semi permanent colour.
The main ingredient in Pure tone is citric acid (mostly from lemon) it changes the alkaline environment of normal use of 010Plus.  Pure Tone neutralizes the lightening effect on natural hair.
So Pure Tone is usually mixed with 5 or 10vol developer and because of its neutralizing nature it can change the same colour into a deposit only colour with no lightening of the natural base at all. It is excellent for toning foils and highlights, colouring faded ends, and covering up to 50% of white hair.

The colouring formula with Pure Tone will hide but not cover the grey hair. It is ideal for make hair colouring on a natural base for blending grey hair without warm change to the colour an d would last 10-12 washes.

Adding reflects and toning

For adding a reflect to natural hair or picking up faded hair add 50% pure tone to the hair colour creammix with care before adding oxy developer 5 or 10 vol according to the intensity of the desired colour.
Example: 30gr hair colour cream + 15grams of Pure Tone (mixed) then add 60grams of Oxy 5 or 10 vol


** Pure Tone can also be mixed with the regular permanent 010Plus colour  for extremely fragile hair and also extremely sensitive scalps.
** Mix Pure Tone and the hair colour cream before adding the developer.
