What is 0/0 and how is it used?

How is 0/0 used?

The shade 0/0 is not a colour, and has no colouring or covering power, it is only a cosmetic base full of the precious vegetable cosmetic ingredients of 010Plus, but contains absolutely no pigment.

It is the base to lighten any of the shades resulting in a clearer variant. This gives us the ability to achieve shades that are not on the 010Plus Colour Chart, and then mixed with the intensifiers has the potential to create endless delicate Pastel Colours such as Magenta, Salmon, Pink and lilac.

It gives us the ability to change the colour by 1 level by mixing 50% of 0/0 with the shade of colour,  and two levels with a second dilution. So in the case where the required colour is not in your stock you can make it up from a darker colour.
So for example we do not have the shade 9/3 in our stock so we take the 8/3 and mix according to this formula : 50%8/3 + 50% 0/0 = 9/3.
Another example to more of an extreme:we want to make a soft pastel lilac so formula: 10% violet intensifier and 90% 0/0
These would then be mixed with the appropriate developer either 5 or 10vol.

Its use is very simple: starting from the chosen level of colour (see table below) we can obtain a new colour1 level lighter with each dilution of 50% with 0/0. This table shows the basic guide amounts for its use. The table shows examples of changing levels of colours in the case of not have in stock the correct shade to the case where addition of 0/0 . See also the case where adding 50% 0/0 takes a 5/00 down to a 5/0.

NOTE: When you increase the dilution of a colour you decrease the intensity of the colour and covering power - this gives a reduction of coverage on white hair.  The addition of 0/0 does not change any other properties of 010Plus.

0/0 IS NOT A BLEACH OR LIGHTENER IT CONTAINS NO LIGHTENING QUALITIES JUST THE COSMETIC PRODUCT ITSELF WITHOUT PIGMENT
